About Me
Dr. Peter Bassit comes from strong background in academics, athletics, injury rehabilitation and exercise management. With 10 years of post secondary education and 14 years of working in the fitness industry, he developed a commitment to wellness and education over the years. Peter has completed his honours degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario as well as a college diploma in recreational services. While completing his doctorate degree in Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College he worked in a rehabilitation clinic as well as opened his own business; this gave him the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clientele including post surgical patients, children with special needs, cystic fibrosis patients and varsity athletes. He spent over 700 hrs of placement at Bloorview McMillan Children Centre running numerous programs for children with special needs. He gets great satisfaction from establishing goals with his patients and helping them achieve them. As a practitioner Dr. Bassit is genuine and compassionate about his patient’s wellness. He believes in patient centered care through a multidisciplinary team approach. His thirst for knowledge and self improvement keeps him motivated and up to date on current research in the field.

CMCC is one of two Chiropractic schools in Canada. CMCC’s Doctor of Chiropractic program consists of four years of academic and clinical education, including a one-year internship in one of eight community-based clinics. Graduates complete approximately 4,200 hours of academic and clinical education, including studies in anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, neurology, clinical diagnosis, diagnostic imaging, and chiropractic sciences.
