Michelle Ekert

Massage Therapist
Massage is for Everyone At Hope Massage Therapy we believe that everyone, from athletes to the elderly can benefit from therapeutic massage. Massage can help the body to relax, and to heal faster from stress and injury. Our techniques include Swedish, geriatric, deep tissue, pain management, prenatal & post-natal, & stress management massage. These techniques, used in our peaceful and relaxing treatment room, help the body to recover from the stresses of everyday life, or from injury.
About Me
Michelle Ekert, R.M.T. has accumulated over twenty years of experience in the effective use of these techniques. Before becoming qualified as a Massage Therapist, Michelle worked as a support worker in assisted living residences. She quickly realized the importance of massage and was encouraged to qualify as a Massage Therapist in order to help those who most needed help. She works effectively with clients of all ages and health challenges. When treating clients, Michelle fist relaxes the top muscle layer. She then gradually increases pressure to bring relief to lower layers. At all times during treatment, there is constant feedback from clients. This allows them to control the treatment they are receiving. At Hope Massage Therapy we are keen to offer massage opportunities to those who need treatment in the comfort of their own home. There is no extra fee for this service. The treatment room at Hope Massage is not wheelchair accessible. Clients who are unable to access our facilities may therefore take advantage of our on-site service. Massage is for Everyone At Hope Massage Therapy we go out of our way to make massage treatments available to all. We offer on-site service, an attractive attractive pricing structure, monthly invoicing and direct billing. These demonstrate our commitment to making massage a reality for everyone. HOPE Massage Therapy currently provides massage therapy treatments at: Caressant Care Nursing and Retirement Home (Woodstock); Cedarview Gracious Retirement Living (Woodstock); Christian Horizons Horizon House Oxford I & II (Woodstock); Oxford Gardens (Woodstock); Woodingford Lodge (Woodstock); Woodstock and District Developmental Services Group Home (Woodstock). Client Rights and Privacy Policy: You may give or withhold your written informed consent. You may refuse, modify, or terminate treatment at any time, regardless of prior consent. All client information (written or verbal) is confidential and will be safeguarded by the therapist, except when disclosure is required by law or court order. Written authorization will be obtained prior to all communication concerning client's records. If the Registered Massage Therapist feels that referral to another health care provider is necessary, client's written consent will be obtained first.
